Beady Eye- Across the Universe

It only makes sense that Liam would cover the Beatles (again) Oasis has always been compared to them and they were arguably the biggest UK band since the Beatles called it quits. I know this isn't Oasis but you guys get the idea. This was done for Japanese Relief.

Chris Martin covers Oasis at a small pub

In a pretty cool act of kindness, Chris Martin from Coldplay made a surprise appearance at a British pub. He played a full acoustic set but his cover of "Wonderwall" is what stood out. Watch a video that a fan took above. I wish this was in better quality.

LCD Soundsystem- Live Alone (Franz Ferdinand)

Remember that band LCD Soundsystem? Well before they broke up they covered Franz Ferdinand's "Live Alone" leaving their trademark sound to the song.

Beirut- O Leaozinho

This is a beautiful cover

Muppets cover "Dance Yrself Clean"

There are two things I love in the world.. The first is muppet parodies and the second is the LCD Soundsystem song "Dance Yrself Clean" So naturally this made sense to post.

Bat for Lashes- Strange Love (Depeche Mode)

In awesome cover news.. Bat for Lashes just covered Depeche Mode's "Strange Love" This song really fits her voice and it's nice to hear something new from Bat for Lashes.

The Kooks- All that she Wants (Ace of Base)

Apparently this is 3 years old.. I've never heard it before so I decided to post it. I'm pro anything that involves Ace of Base.

John Legend & The Roots- Wake Up (Arcade Fire Cover)

This was from the Roots and John Legend concert at Terminal 5. Pretty awesome cover if you ask me.

Nas and Carlos Santana- Back in Black

Sorry Kanye and Justin Bieber, I'mma let you finish but Nas and Carlos Santana get the nod for biggest WTF collaboration of the year. I never thought that I'd hear Nas and Santana covering AC/DC. I'm sure most people are going to hate this, but I actually think this is pretty good. It's off of Santana's new covers album.

Drums- We Used to Wait (Arcade Fire)

Yesterday I posted a new Drums song and a the interactive music video for Arcade Fire's "We Used to Wait". So now it only makes sense for me to post Drums doing a cover of that song.. They definitely do it in their own style.

Dave Grohl- Band on the Run

Here is another performance from the White House tribute to Paul McCartney. This time it's Dave Grohl covering the Wings hit "Band on the Run". Stevie Wonder certainly seems to be enjoying it from the crowd.

Jack White- Mother Nature's (Beatles)

This is pretty amazing. This is from the Paul McCartney tribute concert at the White House. The whole concert will be shown on PBS on July 28.

The Kills- Pale Blue Eyes

Check out the kills covering Velvet Underground's song Pale Blue Eyes. Pretty interesting take. I love Alison Mosshart's voice on this. They gave the song a quicker tempo making it sound more garage rockish... Hope you enjoy.

Passion Pit- Tonight Tonight (Smashing Pumpkins cover)

Here is Passion Pit's take on "Tonight Tonight" by the Smashing Pumpkins. It's an interesting version of the song and very Passion Pit like.. Doesn't touch the original but it's worth a listen.

Regina Spektor- No Surprises (Radiohead Cover)

This is actually pretty good. If you like this track you can buy it on iTunes and the money will be donated to relief efforts in Haiti and Chile.

Hot Chip- She Wolf (Shakira cover)

In a weird way this cover was meant to happen. If anybody should ever cover such an "out there" song, it would be Hot Chip. Enjoy!
