Big Sean- Finally Famous Vol. 3
Check out the new mixtape from G.O.O.D music artist Big Sean. Kanye West swears by this kid and he is quickly blowing up. \ This is sort of the Chinese Democracy of mixtapes with it always being pushed back. It's definitely worth the wait though. Big Sean will only continue to get more famous after this mixtape. G.O.O.D Music represent! You can download the mixtape from his website by clicking the link below.

Alors on Danse Remix- Stromae (Ft. Kanye West and Gilbere Forte)
Check out Kanye West's remix of the European club banger "Alors on Danse". Does Kanye just live in the studio? It seems that he's putting out at least two songs everyday. The range of songs that he put out this past week with "Monster", the Justin Bieber remix, and now this song shows why he is the best in the game.

Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Raekwon- Runaway Love Remix
Officially the weirdest collaboration of the year. Can't believe that Justin Bieber made it to my blog... To make things weirder, this all happened through the power of Twitter when Kanye asked Justin if he can do a remix of this song. Kanye and Raekwon are dope in this song. Justin Bieber is Justin Bieber I guess....
Sex Bomb-omb- Garbage Truck
Music video from Scott Pigrim's band Sex Bom-omb. If you haven't seen Scott Pilgrim yet, you are really messing up...

Sufjan Stevens- I Walked
Check out this new Sufjan Stevens song from his upcoming album "The Age of Adz". This definitely isn't what you'd expect from him. The song is filled with electronic beats and the vocals are filled with synthesizers. Really interesting but pretty cool. Can't wait to see how the whole album is going to sound.

Kanye West- Power (Remix ft. Jay-Z and Swizz Beatz)
Here is the remix of Power that Kanye has been hyping all week. While I like the verses more, I think that the original has a better beat. That's just me though. It's pretty cool to hear Jay-Z rapping to this. Overall really cool remix and awesome rapping.

Catchy new tune from the New Jersey rockers. Much like their other songs, this has a really chill vibe to it. This song has a more clean sound than their previous stuff. I like it that way.

Jenny and Johnny Mixtape
Jenny and Johnny just released a cool mixtape featuring three songs. They already released two of the songs ("Big Wave" and "Scissor Runner"). This mixtape also features a new song called "Switchblade". This is more of a slow track and not as poppy as the other two. Hear all the songs after the jump.

Warpaint- Ashes to Ashes (David Bowie cover)
Warpaint - Ashes to Ashes by morrisday
Check out this cover of the David Bowie classic "Ashes to Ashes". It's a pretty faithful cover. They begin to experiment more with the song towards the end. It still amazes me how talented these girls are. You can download the single off of iTunes and all the money goes to the War Child charity group. So go out there and buy this single. Good music for a good cause.

Roger Waters and David Gilmour Live!
Here is video of the July 10 reunion of Roger Waters and David Gilmour. This is the first time they played together since Live8 in 2006. They looked happy to be playing together. Possible Pink Floyd reunion in the future? God I hope so... This is also for a good cause so be sure to donate if you could. Watch the video below to see them perform "To know him is to Love him", "Wish You were Here", "Comfortably Numb", and "Another Brick in the Wall". It really is an epic set. Enjoy!

My Morning Jacket- Circuital
My Morning Jacket played a new song at their San Diego concert this past weekend. Jim James/Yim Yames has been doing a lot of folk and acoustic songs with his side projects Monsters of Folk and Appalachian Voices. This song starts out sort of that way until Carl kicks in with his electric guitars. The song turns out to be a nice folk song fused with the in your face rock of My Morning Jacket. Check it out.

Yeasayer- Madder Red
I love this video. It stars Kristen Bell with some weird deranged creature. It's sort of touching in a weird way... Is it weird that I'm still in love with Kristen Bell even when she is with that weird creature that's bleeding out of the mouth?

Kanye West- See Me Now (Ft. Beyonce and Charlie Wilson)
Kanye West featuring Beyoncé & Charlie Wilson - See me now by Hypetrak
New jam from everybody's favorite hip hop artist, Kanye West. This song isn't an epic "fuck you track" like Power. This is more of a pop song with Beyonce singing the chorus. He does throw out a "Free Weezy" in the middle and he compares himself to Jesus in a way that only Kanye can do. The best line is "I'm going to let you finish, but I got Beyonce on the track". Kanye is the man!

M.I.A.- XXXO
While Kanye was going for the epic painting thing for his video, M.I.A looks to be in the middle of old school MySpace profiles. It has all the old school animations that everyone used. It really is a throwback. Is there a connection between the MySpace thing and the lyrics "You want me to be somebody that I'm really not"? Probably.

Andre 3000- I Do
New song from Andre 3000. It's been a while but he still got it. This song along with Big Boi's amazing debut show that Outkast really was the best rap band. I really hope they get back together. Until then though, we will have to settle for their solo projects... And that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Beck- Ramona
Another song from the Scott Pilgrim soundtrack. This one is about the love of Scott's life Ramona Flowers. The song goes pretty perfectly with the movie and comics in that it really channels Scott's feelings towards Ramona. I can see Scott writing this song real life. Can't wait for this to come out on Friday.

Album Review: Arcade Fire- The Suburbs
We've all seen bands come out of the gate firing with an amazing debut album and then fade away into obscurity. We've all seen "great bands" turn into "average bands" after a couple of albums. This was my biggest fear for Arcade Fire. When Funeral came out it blew everybody away. It was filled with hits and allowed them to develop their own unique sound. Their follow up album Neon Bible, was good but not great. For me it was important that The Suburbs be a good album to avoid them going down the path of mediocrity.
