Arctic Monkeys- My Propeller

Still one of the best bands out today.

Land of Talk- It's Okay

Just saw this posted on Kanye's blog. I don't know how I missed this when it came out. The visuals are pretty amazing in this video. If you haven't already seen this video than definitely give it a look.

Erykah Badu- Window Seat

Hell yeah Erykah! This video is awesome. If you watch this and don't want to walk down the street stripping, then you obviously have no soul!

*EDIT Erykah got a $500 citation for this video! Way to arrest her weeks after the vid was shot... If the above link doesn't work you can watch the video on Erykah's website by clicking below.

These New Puritans- Attack Music

Phish 3D!

PHISH 3D - IN THEATERS APRIL 30TH from Phish on Vimeo.

This looks to be pretty sick. The concert footage will be from their Festival 8 performance. Get ready for 3D glowsticks flying your way along with 3D pot smoke. Should be pretty cool.

Beck, St. Vincent, The Liars, and Os Mutantes cover INXS's "Kick"

Could be one of the coolest collaborations yet

SXSW Recap

Wow so SXSW has come and gone. So many bands going on all throughout the day. So many lines to wait in. So many free drinks given to you. So many hangovers and so little sleep. This could go down as one of my favorite weeks of all time. The beauty of SXSW is that unlike any other music festival, this takes place all over the city. Music fans and people in the biz come all over the world to see all types of bands. With hundreds of bands playing throughout the week, SXSW is a great indicator of the current state of the music industry. I went in to SXSW to find a growing trend with all the bands, but I was surprised to see that most of the bands were unique in their own way. Here are my list of bands that you need to know about in no particular order.

Yacht- The Afterlife

This is one of the artists that I really dug in at SXSW. Hard to explain what style of music they are classified under. I'd say electro dance pop? Here is their new music video.

As a bonus this is the song that totally won me over at SXSW. This song is catchy as hell. If you haven't heard it yet, let me be the one to introduce you to Psychic City

The Hold Steady- Hurricane J

Here is the new single by The Hold Steady

The Dead Weather- Die by the Drop

This is the new single/video from their upcoming album Sea of Cowards. Looks like they picked up where they left off on their last album. Click on the link below to watch this intense video.

Jonsi'- Time to Pretend (MGMT cover)

In one of the weirdest covers I've heard, here is Jonsi' from Sigur Ros covering Time to Pretend by MGMT. Check it out by clicking the link below.
