Pusha T- Can I live

Looks like Pusha is living the G.O.O.D life now.

Kate Bush- Deeper Understanding

Check out this new video featuring Hagrid from Harry Potter. Why'd he shave the beard and long hair? He looks weird without it..

Stream the new Beastie Boys Album

Hot Sauce Committee Part Two by Beastie Boys

Beastie Boys are countering album leaks by streaming the whole album themselves. Awesome.

Kills- The Last Goodbye (SXSW)

Watch a very heartfelt performance of The Kills playing at SXSW. Watch how emotional she gets at the end. I love it when artists show passion in their performances.

My Morning Jacket just announced a hometown show in Louisville. Watch the weird promo for it..

Strokes- Games (Conan)

Huge fan of everything Julian does but I can't stand behind these hats he's been wearing recently.. Love his voice on this song though and that's all that matters.

Beastie Boys- Make Some Noise

The Beastie Boys brought the stars out for their video for "Make Some Noise" This is part of the Fight for your Rights Revisited short film. The whole thing is going to be aired tonight on multiple MTV networks and 3 AM on Comedy Central.

Domo Genesis (Odd Future)- Cashmere

Speaking of Odd Future.. I earlier posted that we were celebrating 4/20 Earl Sweatshirt style. Domo is celebrating by releasing a new song. Not as intense as us.. We lost a couple of members.

Earl Sweatshirt- Earl

Smoking on 4/20 is for chumps. This is what we are doing today... Free Earl!

Lil Wayne ft. Rick Ross- John

Weezy killing it.

Black Star performing at Paid Dues

Watch this video of Black Star performing in California. The combo of Mos Def and Talib Kweli makes my favorite rap duo. I really hope they release another LP. The world needs Black Star.

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

Yeasayer- Phoenix Wind

Check out Yeasayer's release from Record Store Day.

Devo- What We Do

We are big fans of innovation in music videos over here at Freak Out Music. Leave it to Devo to put out a fresh new innovative music video.. What year is it again? In this interactive vid you can scroll around and click on things that generate different responses. Pretty cool and I hope more bands begin to utilize technology in their videos.

Pusha T- My God

If you don't know who Pusha T is you might recognize him from Clipse. If you still don't know who he is.. Yeah he's the guy that raps with Kanye on Runaway. He's much more than that though and is quickly becoming one of my favorite rappers.

Monday, April 18, 2011

Art Brut- Lost Weekend

Brand new music video from the crazy Art Brut..

Oh Land- Perfection

Oh Land - Perfection (Live) from Oh Land Music on Vimeo.

Awesome new video from Oh Land.

Beady Eye- Across the Universe

It only makes sense that Liam would cover the Beatles (again) Oasis has always been compared to them and they were arguably the biggest UK band since the Beatles called it quits. I know this isn't Oasis but you guys get the idea. This was done for Japanese Relief.

Kanye Coachella Set

So did you guys stay up like me last night and watch Kanye's epic Coachella set? If not you can watch the whole thing right here. This set was insane and he proved that he didn't need to have special guests to headline this fest. This concert was definitely something special and another defining moment from Mr. West.

My Morning Jacket- Octoplasm

New My Morning Jacket song for your Monday morning. A little jazzy tune this time.

Friday, April 15, 2011

Cool Kids- Bundle Up

Cool Kids show that they are too cool for the standard music video.

Arctic Monkeys- Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair

Arctic Monkeys being bad asses in this video. Awesome. I want to be Alex Turner.

Santigold (ft. Karen O) - Go

Not sure how long this YouTube will stay up, but this is the new Santigold song and it features Karen O from Yeah Yeah Yeahs. If the YouTube does go down, you can hear the song at the link below.

Santigold ft. Karen O- Go

G- Side - Came Up

A couple months ago we told you guys to be on the lookout for these guys. So with that being said check out their new music video and continue to look out for them.

MNDR- Cut Me Out

I really am digging MNDR. I truly think she is on the verge of stardom. Seeing her tomorrow at the Brooklyn Museum. And since the show is in a museum I'm going to get historical with my dancing and party like it's 1999.

Sidenote: I hope you guys don't judge the artists that we write about by my terrible puns. They have nothing to do with them so don't take it out on them. Thank You.

Watch The Kills Perform on Conan

Last night The Kills rocked Conan by performing their single "Satellite" I love the dancing backup singers in the background. It gives off a Gladys Knight and the Pips vibe. Maybe that's a stretch but the performance is still awesome.

Chris Martin covers Oasis at a small pub

In a pretty cool act of kindness, Chris Martin from Coldplay made a surprise appearance at a British pub. He played a full acoustic set but his cover of "Wonderwall" is what stood out. Watch a video that a fan took above. I wish this was in better quality.

Coachella Bands to Watch

Oh yes everyone it's that time of the year again. SXSW is a distant memory and Coachella is about to start and kick off music festival season. The greatest season of them all... This year has a sick lineup with Kanye, The Strokes, Arcade Fire and the Jonas Brothers. Wait what? That's the Kings of Leon not Jonas Brothers? My bad.. their last two records had me confused... Just kidding.. Sort of. Anyway lets get down to the important things and start laying out some more under the radar bands that you guys should check out by showing a video accompanied by a short blurb.. So let's begin.

Twin Shadow

What is it with this guy? At first glance he looks like just another Brooklyn hipster that tries too hard.. But after he sings it all makes sense. Hipsters could only dream of being this effortlessly cool. This guy is great and killed it at SXSW. Definitely worth checking out.

Theophilus London - Sorry To Interrupt + [Lyrics]

I just hope all you guys love this song as much as I do...THEO is the future of Hop Hip!

Foo Fighters live from Letterman Studios

Last night Foo Fighters played an almost 2 hour long show live at the Ed Sullivan Theater. Watch the whole thing in the video above!

My Morning Jacket- Circuital (Live)

Yesterday we posted the mp3 of this song. Now watch My Morning Jacket perform it live on VH1 Storytellers.

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour- The Golden Age

So if you have seen the new Heineken commercial, then you will recognize this. It's unabashed pure joy with a singer that's as hot as the tune.

Lil B- Charlie Sheen

Yeah Charlie Sheen may be played out, but I'm still all about Lil B. I love the fact that this guy does what he wants and is getting recognized for it. Lil B and Odd Future keeping the rap game.. weird.

LCD Soundsystem- Live Alone (Franz Ferdinand)

Remember that band LCD Soundsystem? Well before they broke up they covered Franz Ferdinand's "Live Alone" leaving their trademark sound to the song.

Childish Gambino- "Break (All of the Lights)"

Speaking of Kanye (wait—who, us?), check out the remake of Kanye’s “All of the Lights” from Childish Gambino AKA Donald Glover AKA that guy from Community. We would say he shouldn’t quit his day job, but that’s only because we like the show.

Break (AOTL) by Childish Gambino

TV on the Radio Debut Short Film

Taking a page out of Kanye's book, TV on the Radio put out an album length short film that is meant to be a "visual re-imagining of the record" I'm liking this trend of short films that coexist with albums. Looking forward to the Beastie Boys one next month.

My Morning Jacket- Circuital

The new My Morning Jacket song is now available on their website! Click the link below to go there and download it. I can listen to Jim James sing any day... I'm so excited that MMJ is back!

My Morning Jacket- Circutal

Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair by arcticmonkeys

Another new Arctic Monkeys song from their upcoming album "Suck it and See"

Alex Metric and Steve Angello- Open Your Eyes

Tapes n Tapes- Freak Out (acoustic)

Back in February we here at Freak Out Music claimed this song as our anthem. Now Tapes n Tapes recorded a new acoustic version. It's equally as good as the original so we are claiming this as the co-anthem for Freak Out Music.

Foster the People- Pumped Up Kicks

This song is pretty awesome. Definitely going to start doing more research on these guys.

Ellie Goulding- Starry Eyed

Watch UK darling Ellie Goulding make her national TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel. Get ready for the Ellie Goulding explosion this year.

Lil B- Angels Prayer

Listen to Lil B rap another story.. This time he does it over Kanye's "Devil in a Red Dress" beat. Great stuff here.

Fight for your Right- Revisited

This is an awesome trailer for an upcoming 30 minute short film from the Beastie Boys. My personal favorite part is the end when Will Ferrell is playing the cowbell. I need more cowbell Will!

Wednesday, April 6, 2011

Beastie Boys- Make Some Noise

Oh yeah the Beastie Boys are back!

Fictionist- Blue-Eyed Universe

So lets take a break from these hardcore songs for a second.. I had to get it out of my system. Anyway I found out about these guys through Rolling Stone's cover contest. I really like this song.

Atari Teenage Riot- Blood in my Eyes

What's up with the blog going all out hardcore with the songs so far today? I wish I knew. Listen to this song and then burn things.. That is all.

Young Legionnaire- Numbers

This is the side project from the bass player from Bloc Party. This is some pretty heavy stuff. I hope that Bloc Party will get back together, but with Kele doing his dance album and now this it isn't looking like a reunion is happening anytime soon. It's funny if you combine this style with Kele's solo album you'll get Silent Alarm.. Just saying..

Snoop Dogg (Ft. Wiz Kalifa)- This Weed Iz Mine

A music video with Snoop Dogg and Wiz Kalifa starring marijuana.. Any of you guys shocked?

Tuesday, April 5, 2011

Gang Gang Dance- Mindkilla

How about this for a video? This is a crazy light show that flows perfectly with the music.

Girls Names- Bury Me

Girls Names - Bury Me from stereogum on Vimeo.

This song has an old school sound to it. Very vintage. I bet the hipsters will eat this band up..

Rihanna- California King Bed

Rihanna singing a country duet with Jennifer Nettles???? Say what?

Monday, April 4, 2011

Danger Mouse (Ft. Jack White)- Two Against One

This is off Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi's new album "Rome" coming out next month. Pretty awesome.

Royal Bangs TV Debut

The Royal Bangs made their TV debut on Letterman this past Friday. So glad they sounded good. I've been hyping these guys nonstop and seeing them on the big stage put a tear in my eye.. Hope to see them make more TV appearances in the future.

Strokes Played Homecoming Gig at MSG Last Night

As the thousands of hipsters ironically packed into MSG you could feel something special would go down as NY heroes The Strokes played their first show in the garden. As the lights went out the crowd was surprised to see Elvis Costello take the stage. "April Fools motherfuckers!" he yelled and then went into a quick three song set of "Radio Radio" "Pump it Up" and "(What's so Funny about) Peace Love and Understanding" Minds were blown. After his set the headliners took the stage. The Strokes have been getting a lot of flack for phoning it in recently at their shows. This wasn't the case tonight...

The Turkeys: Story of the Band that Never Was

I remember two years ago I was given the task of covering hot buzz band The Turkeys. Might have been the worst weekend of my life as these guys all were the worst of the worst.. Brilliant music but terrible people. Their struggles with alcohol, drugs, voodoo and enormous egos caused them to break up that weekend.. Above is the cover of their never released album "Fallen on the Side of the Road" These guys fell alright... They fell hard.
The names Peter, Jackson, Justin and Matt were looking to be as recognizable as John, Paul, George and Ringo. Didn't work out that way.. At all. I'll give you the cliff notes of my time with these turkeys.

This is a really cool video and really catchy song as well.

Stars- Changes (NSFW)

Twin Shadow- At My Heels

Twin Shadow is back and provides his own directors commentary for this video.

Oh Land Art Residency

Oh Land has always instilled a nice blend of art and pop into her music. This week she's taking the next step by playing a four night residency in The Charles Bank Gallery. Every night will be a different show mixed with unique art visuals. This looks really cool and is definitely worth trying to go to. The event is invite only, but they are letting in the first 20 fans every night. So if you want to see Oh Land play an intimate art show you should get there early.

Vines- Gimme Love

Remember The Vines? That Australian band? Well apparently they're back and big fans of Scott Pilgrim. Scott Pilgrim is one of my favorite movies so I naturally had to post it.

Lil B- Illusions of Grandeur

Say what you want about Lil B's rapping, but the man is a great storyteller

The Dodos- Black Night

Loved these guys energy at SXSW and love this song and music video.

Metronomy- She Wants

This is such a cool video. I love how it was edited and the song is great as well. Side Note: If you pause the video at the 2:51 mark, you can scan the QR Code with your phone to be taken to their homepage. Pretty cool I guess.. Yay for QR Codes!

Frankie and the Heartstrings- Hunger

Vintage sound with a vintage look and feel..

The Stokes- Call me Back

Check out this new Strokes video. Sort of cool right?

Monday, March 28, 2011

tUnE-yArDs - Bizness

This is just a great video

Matt and Kim- Cameras

You think they fight this way in real life? I'd like to think not... But I'm a dreamer. What do I know?

Drums Debut New Lineup in Free NY Show

The drums debuted a new lineup at a free show last night at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. While the show was billed as free, the cheapest beers were 8 dollars... So does that count as free? The new lineup consisted of two new members and some shuffling around of the band. The biggest change was the former drummer is now the lead guitarist. The new lineup didn't hinder the band though, because they still rocked it. The venue was tiny and the crowd turned into a mini moshpit as the concert kicked off. The drums played the hits such as "Best Friend" and "Let's Go Surfing" mixed with some new songs. I didn't catch the names of the new songs, but they had the whole crowd dancing. You can tell that from last years SXSW to today these guys have become comfortable on the stage. Judging by the rowdy crowd at this show... The Drums look to be around for a while.

Friday, March 25, 2011

Twin Shadow- Slow

Happy Friday!!!

Patrick Wolf- Hard Times

Happy Friday!!!

Band to Watch: The Dig

\

The dig are a four piece rock band straight out of New York. I just discovered them after they opened for Brother at the Mercury Lounge last night. I came out of the show loving both bands, but came out more impressed with these guys. They came out dedicated to rock. Proof of this dedication lied in the keyboard/guitar player playing with a cast on both his foot and his arm. When I asked him what happened he said that he fell off the stage at one of the SXSW shows.... That's hardcore. The Dig's sound consists of catchy lyrics and guitar riffs that get you to bob your head and move around a little bit. The singing would alternate between the guitarist and bass player. Since it's hard to truly describe what they sound like, I thought it would be best to just post some YouTube's of them below. Please check them out and if your interested, their album Electric Toys is available on iTunes. I listened to it after the show and they sounded just as good in the studio as they did live. Watch some of their videos below.

Mona- Shooting the Moon (Live from MTV)

Can't wait to hear these guys album when it comes out in May.

Reptar- Blast Off

Definite SXSW buzz band. These guys had a strong showing this year and impressed a lot of people. Be on the look out for these guys.

The Strokes- Taken for a Fool (Live from Letterman)

Strokes played another new song off of Angles last night. I like how they are switching up their song selections for the late night appearances.

Check out this dancy new song from the Friendly Fires new album Pala.

Glasser- Mirrorage

Middle Brother- Blue Eyes (Rolling Stone Sessions)

Check out this video of Middle Brother performing at Rolling Stone. If you don't know much about them they are the new "super group" wPublish Postith members from Delta Spirit, Deer Tick and Dawes. They're pretty awesome.

Tuesday, March 22, 2011

Jessica Lea Mayfield- Our Hearts are Wrong (Live from Letterman)

I've never seen this video so it's still fresh to me.. I love this song and love this performance. Cool to see David Mayfield in this video too.

jj - The End

Wow this song progresses beautifully. Is this what heaven sounds like? Ok.. Maybe I'm going too far on the praises, but I really do like this song. Nothing short of epic. Give it a listen and judge for yourselves.

Art Brut- Unprofessional Wrestling

You've got to love Art Brut. Instead of singing in their songs, front man Eddie Argos just sort of talks and tells a story backed by guitars... And that's what makes them awesome!

TV on the Radio- Will Do

T

Check out the new video from TV on the Radio's first single off their new album.

Brother- Darling Buds of May

I'm loving these guys. If you are in the New York area you should check them out on Wednesday when they play the Mercury Lounge. We missed them at SXSW but we're ready to make it up and see them tomorrow.

Snoop Dogg (Ft. Kanye West and John Legend)- Eyes Closed

Awesome is all I have to say.

Download Pusha T's new mixtape "Fear of God"

Since taking a break from Clipse, Pusha T has been making a name for himself. Kanye added him to the G.O.O.D Music label and featured him on his hit single "Runaway" Now Pusha T finally released his much anticipated mixtape which features appearances from Kanye West, Rick Ross, 50 Cent and Pharrell. It's great to hear Pusha T shine on his solo stint. Download the full mixtape by clicking the link below.

B.O.B- NY, NY

B.O.B delivers his homage to New York. It's no Empire State of Mind, but it's still pretty great in my opinion.

Odd Future Live from the Woodies

The Woodies is the annual award show on MTV U. Check out this crazy performance from Odd Future featuring a midget Tyler, the Creator impersonator... For real

Jeff the Brotherhood- Diamond Way

We found out about these guys last year at SXSW. They came back this year with much more buzz surrounding them and played a couple of epic sets. Listen to this song off their new album We are the Champions.

Warpaint- Undertow (Javelin Remix)

After touring together this summer, Javelin decided to remix Warpaint's "Undertow" We are glad they did this because we haven't posted Warpaint in a while.. Even if this is just a remix..

J-Roddy Walston and the Business- Don't Get Old

We stumbled upon these guys at SXSW. This video is from last year so they've been around.. But they are new to us so we thought we'd introduce you guys. J-Roddy Watson is pure rock n roll. Perfect music to drink a Lone Star beer to while rocking out. Hope you guys enjoy this.

Thom Yorke's New Collaborations..

So while we were busy doing research at SXSW (Getting really drunk and stumbling across new bands) Thom Yorke has been gracing us with new singles from different collaborations. He released two songs with Four Tet and Burial along with releasing a remix of Doom's "Gazzillion Ear" Listen to all these new tracks below. Warning: They are bangers.. .

Mona- Listen to your Love

New music video from these Nashville rockers..

Tuesday, March 15, 2011

Teddybears (Ft. Robyn)- Cardiac Arrest

Dance Party!

Those Darlins- Be Your Bro

From a guys perspective I hate this song. I hate when girls try to be my brother.. I want to be your lover baby and we can live a happy and wonderful life together. Move down south and get away from the chaos of the city. Grow old together and live happily ever after....Maybe not.. I don't know. Good song though #GirlPower

All of the Lights Remix

Oh yes.. The song that keeps on giving. I feel that when Kanye wrote this one he wanted everyone in the world to have a verse on it. I have a feeling that we'll see more versions of this song before it's all said and done..

SXSW Artists to Watch 2011

It's that wonderful time of year again. The SXSW Festival in Austin. So many acts and parties to attend. This is the time where you realize how little pull you have by not getting allowed into most venues, even if you did pay $100 for the stupid wristbands. Let's face it... You probably won't be able to get into most of the big shows going on unless you stand in line forever waiting to be let in to the venue. Even then they will only allow badges in first. It's a rough go so be prepared to miss out on Kanye this year... Last year I was sort of glad that I couldn't get into the big shows like Muse and Hole. I had more fun seeing as many "small" bands that I could find. I ended up discovering bands like The Drums, Local Natives, Jeff the Brotherhood, Warpaint and Sleigh Bells just to name a few. Below are some bands to watch out for this year. There is so much to see at SXSW that I'm sure that we are going to discover all types of new bands when it's all said and done. We'll report back with any new musical discoveries. In the mean time watch the videos below of artists playing SXSW and have a great time at the fest. Don't party too much.. Made that mistake last year. No regrets though..

Mona

Alex Turner- Piledriver Waltz

A

Another song from the Submarine soundtrack done by Alex Turner. This time it's a music video/trailer for the movie. I really can't wait to see this.

Not only do I like this vid because I'm a fan of French electro-pop (I really am) This video is also really entertaining and actually fuses two songs together. Watch for yourself.

Rachel Sermanni- Song for a Fox

Now let's do the complete opposite of electro-goth.. This is sweet and melodic.

IAMX- Ghosts of Utopia

Let's get some electro-goth on the blog...

Pharoahe Monk- Clap

Hip hop music video/short film. This is pretty crazy/intense.

More Songs about Emotions...

I just heard the Rebbecca Black song "Friday"... Looks like the only problem this girl has is choosing which seat to choose in the back of the car. She's also on top of the world because it's Friday. I was about to give up on music and just delete the blog. Instead I decided to dig deep and post songs that I find lyrically great and contain actual emotions. If you saw the Rebbecca Black video, I hope that these music videos will help you regain faith in music.

Check out Lykke Li's video live from the moon ya'll!

Kanye's G.O.O.D Music Cipher

You have no idea how cool I think this is. Haven't posted Kanye on the blog in a while so I figured I'd go all out and post this G.O.O.D Music Cipher from the BET Awards earlier this year. I definitely think that I should be in the room with them in a nice suit and spit out a verse..

Thursday, March 10, 2011

Die Antwoord- Rich Bitch

Crazy crazy crazy crazy crazy.... The only way to describe Die Antwoord....

Yelawolf and Cyhi Da Prynce celebrate Fat Tuesday in NYC

Yelawolf was certainly a highlight of SXSW last year. Ever since I saw him at the Fader Fort, I've been wanting to see him again. I actually had tickets to see him play a New York show in December, but unfortunately got in an argument with the girl I was with and left during the opener.... Don't worry she was one of those "Being nice is a sign of weakness" "Show a girl you're not interested and treat her bad for her to like you" girls... Not my style.. Whatever.. Her loss... Anyway I was really excited when I saw that I'd have another chance to see Yelawolf at the Highline Ballroom. I was even more excited that his opener was Cyhi da Prynce.

Blood Orange Surprise Brooklyn Show

You may know Devonte Hynes as Lightspeed Champion, but last night he made a surprise appearance at Public Assembly in Brooklyn as his side project Blood Orange. This is just one of his many side projects. When he's not involved in his own music he is writing and producing for other artists including Florence and the Machine and Basement Jaxx. The appearance was part of a monthly event in Brooklyn called Communion, which showcases a lot of up and coming bands from around  7 to 1 AM in the morning. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite events in the city and I discovered a lot of new bands to cover last night. He was added to the bill last minute after 1,2,3 dropped out. I personally thought that this was an improvement.  Blood Orange is similar to Lightspeed Champion except the music has more of an 80s feel to it. So far Blood Orange videos have been emerging on YouTube that feature his music set to 80s background. He also performed on Alexa Chung's last show dressed as a wizard. You can watch some of those videos below. As of last night his stage setup consisted of a laptop making beats and a him on guitar. It was a really strange set that included some bad ass guitar solos mixed with him dancing around on stage. The songs were morbid but catchy. Blood Orange is supposed to release an album sometime this year. It will be interesting to see where this project goes, but be on the lookout. Read below to see some Blood Orange videos and a Lightspeed Champion one just in case you don't know.

Dominique Young Unique- War Talk

We talked about her a bit a while ago comparing her to Nicki Minaj. Watch her new music video and see if she is worthy of our hype.

Tyler the Creator- Yonkers (Piano Version)

Watch Tyler the Creator play a new interesting version of his song "Yonkers" Basically everything Tyler does is interesting and this is no different.. What do you guys think?

Strokes on SNL

So the Strokes were the musical guest on a Miley Cyrus hosted episode of SNL last night. That's right.. This is probably the only (and hopefully last) time that these two are billed together. The Strokes played their new song "Under the Cover of Darkness" and debuted a new song called "Life is Simple in the Moonlight" I am anxiously anticipating this album because every song so far sounds completely different. Watch the performances below.

Songs about Emotions...

Let's give it up for emotions! They can be good or they can be bad. Nothing better than a song about emotions. That could be love, hate, joy and so on. Here are some emotionally charged songs that I've been jamming for the past week. Oddly enough it's been a lot of folksy stuff. Don't know what the point of this post is... Good songs below though!

Arctic Monkeys- Brick by Brick

One of my favorite bands. What do you guys think of this song? It seems like they may be going a different direction for their fourth album.

I'm just now discovering Savoir Adore.. I'm sorry for being late on them but this song just gave me an eargazm and I just had to post it.

Lil Wayne- 6'7

Hype Williams directed. Big WTF video for me. That doesn't mean it isn't awesome

Caribou- Jamelia

CARIBOU - Jamelia from Caribou on Vimeo.

A lot going on in this video and to be honest I really don't understand what's going on. The song is definitely what's up though.

Rainbow Arabia- Without You

Little known fact about this video.. I taught her how to do that hop dance move. Not really.. But it's definitely something from my dance book. Yes I have one of those. Anyway.. Just watch the video

The Wombats- Anti D

Newish video from the Wombats. I've always been a fan of Wombats and glad to see they're still doing their thing. This is a pretty cool video that looks to be taken in one shot.

The Strokes- Under Cover of Darkness

The official video for the first Strokes single is here. Watch the band play dressed in nice suits. Don't worry though, Julian still wears his leather jacket and shades.

I've been waiting for A legit video from Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover aka Troy from Community. It's here and I enjoy very much.

Curren$y freestyles over Gold Panda's "Heaps"

I know this is sort of old, but I've been watching it a lot lately and decided to share this with everybody. Gold Panda seems to be the perfect person to freestyle over with his beats. This leaves me wondering what other songs there are that need a freestyle over them.. Hmmmm

Eminem ft. B.O.B- Things Get Worse

Check out this new collaboration. I love when these guys work together. Oh and is it just me or does Eminem sound like old school Slim Shady Marshall Mathers?

The Vaccines- If You Wanna

Check out the new music video from blog favorites The Vaccines. We've been hyping up these guys a lot lately and rightfully so. I'm pretty sure that these guys are going to come out of SXSW as stars.

Muppets cover "Dance Yrself Clean"

There are two things I love in the world.. The first is muppet parodies and the second is the LCD Soundsystem song "Dance Yrself Clean" So naturally this made sense to post.

Dr Dre (Ft. Eminem and Skylar Grey) - I Need a Doctor

Dr. Dre is back! He's making baby steps towards finally releasing his new album. He is now claiming it's out on 4/20.. Fitting.

Peter Bjorn and John- Second Chance

Another spastic video from Peter Bjorn and John

Travis Barker & Clipse- Come on Get It

Don't let Pusha T's solo work scare you into thinking that Clipse is done.. Listen to their new song featuring Travis Barker off of Barker's new mixtape "Let the Drummer Get Wicked" Enjoy!

Rihanna, Kanye and Drake Rocked the NBA All Star Halftime Show

I saw this performance and thought it was on point. Some of my colleagues think otherwise... I don't care what they think though so I decided to post this. Rihanna is a rock star and Kanye is my favorite artist. I think this video is badass. Hopefully you guys think the same.. Enjoy.

Young Minds- Ghosting

Young Minds - Ghosting from Look on Vimeo.

Another happy video for everyone out there. Why all the happy videos? Could I be happy??? Don't get ahead of yourselves... It's just a coincidence. It's probably to counter all the gloom that Radiohead brings in their brilliant new album. I don't know..

Gold Panda- Marriage

How calming and happy is this video? Seriously I was really bummed yesterday about not being able to get presale tickets to the Strokes at MSG. After watching this I just feel that things will be alright.. Does this  video have this affect on anybody else?

Yelawolf- Good to Go (ft. Bun B)

Yelawolf's first video since being signed to Shady Records. He's just going to continue to blow up. His flow and beats are too good.

Gil Scott-Heron and Jamie XX- We're New Here

Cee Lo Green- Bodies

I know it's only February but this is already one of my favorite videos of the year. Watch Cee Lo play a lady killer (literally) and be on the lookout for cameos in the newspaper. Truly original video from a truly original guy.

Odd Future- Sandwiches (Late Night Jimmy Fallon)

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the craziest performance in late night history! This is just insane! Late night had no idea what was about to hit them. Odd Future looks like they'd be a great live show.

Of Monsters and Men- Little Talks

Ignore the monster part these guys aren't nearly as scary as their name implies. In fact, the acoustic folky song is quite happy. Sounds like summer. There's no album yet from the Icelandic foursome, but we'll be sure to loop you in when we get word from Of Monsters and Men of a debut. Enjoy!

Katy Perry ft. Kanye West- E.T (Remix)

]

Yes this is real... It's actually sort of badass. Kanye rapping about having alien sex mixed with Katy Perry singing the hook makes his earlier collaboration with Justin Bieber seem normal. Anyway check this song out and see how Kanye makes Katy feel extraterrestrial.. I wonder if Russell is jealous?

Bright Eyes- Shell Games

Check out the music video for the new Bright Eyes single Shell Games.

G-Side - Nat Geo

Love this song. This beat and song is so sick. Hopefully G-Side continues to put out songs like this.

MNDR- Cut Me Out

The next big thing? I've been listening to this song a bunch today. You should too!

Mumford and Sons, Avett Brothers, and Bob Dylan at the Grammys

My favorite performance of the Grammys last night. Mumford and Sons dominated "The Cave", Avett Brothers dominated "Head Full of Doubt" and then they all joined Bob Dylan as he grunted his way through what looked like a fun ho down that reminded me of living down south. Enjoy!

Wale- The Break Up Song

Did I mention that I hate Valentines Day? Anyway this song is the anti valentine... Love the references to 500 Days of Summer

Sad Love Songs....

Broken Heart

So as you all know today is Valentines Day. What you may not know is that it is also my birthday. You may think "Wow that's a cool birthday to have" You couldn't be more wrong. Nobody wants to celebrate your birthday because they are with their significant other and all that can do is remind you of the one that got away. So instead of posting my favorite sappy love songs such as "Something" by the Beatles, I've decided to focus more on the songs representing the lost loves, heartbreaks, and other things that I listen to while thinking about former girlfriends. So without further ado, I present my favorite sad love songs that will probably get me through the day... Happy Valentines Day everybody!

Tyler the Creator- Yonkers

One of the more bad ass vids you will ever see. I love the way that this was shot and I love how Yonkers he gets in it. Warning: Might be disturbing for some of you guys..

Javelin Party it up in Brooklyn

Last night Javelin played the Glasslands in Brooklyn. A couple of questions were going on in my mind the whole set.

First: Are my dance moves too much? Do I need to scale back?
Second:  How are these two guys producing this music?
Third: Seriously do I need to scale back my dancing?

Jessie J (Ft. B.O.B)- Price Tag

Jessie J has it all. She's been getting all types of buzz lately in London. She's good looking, can rap and she can sing! She's basically the British Nicki Minaj... Anyway check out her new video featuring B.O.B and you judge whether she is worthy of this hype.

The Streets- Going through Hell

Man it seems like Mike Skinner is always going through hell.. At least he raps about it in a catchy way..
